INTERN POSITION BLURB

Leading sports industry Web directory needs an intern to assist in research, site development, and marketing functions.  This is a remote position and can be done anywhere in the United States with access to a personal computer and high-speed Internet connection.  The ideal candidate is most likely a student who has ample free time, a permanent high-speed Internet connection, access to own personal computer (will need to download and utilize some software), and a strong interest in the sports industry and can begin work in the summer (2003) and continue through the academic year (2003-04).

Basic duties include searching trade publications and the Internet at large for new/redeveloped Web sites that fit the standards and qualifications for being included within directory, assisting in the creation of new sections of the Web site, developing extensive contact list and communicating with sports industry professionals.

Creativity, knowledge/familiarity with sports industry, strong Internet research ability, and the ability to work autonomously and with little direct supervision are essential requirements for a successful applicant for this position.
